Wouldn't that require every team to play one another? That is one game every three days! 120 teams in Division One FBS football, and only one-fourth of all games played are out-of-conference; hence, lots of sample-size-RPI-linear-regression-math needed to project who is better in a hypothetical matchup.

We have that in the BCS and to a far lesser extent the polls and we have enjoyed very exciting Decembers and BCS National Championship Games, yes?

Conference champ HAS to get a bid if "fair", but many will gnash teeth that the Big 12 #3 is better than Central Michigan, Troy and UCF.
